The Oakland Township Board of Supervisors are accepting bids for the following:

Year 2000 or newer John Deere or like tractor, 6000 series or equivalent, less than 700 hours with a 20 foot boom and rotary mower.

The Oakland Township Board of Supervisors recently passed an Ordinance establishing policy for Oil and Gas Development.  Because Oakland Township does not have zoning and due to the State Oil and Gas Act regulations, this ordinance is basically an informational ordinance.  The Ordinance requires companies operating within the Township borders explain their operational plan to the Township.  The Ordinance will also require road bonding, noise mitigation from the compression stations and processing plants, as well as training for our first responders.  You can view a complete copy of the Ordinance here:   Gas and Oil Development Ordinance

MEETING DATES

All meetings begin at 9:00 a.m. at the Oakland Township Municipal Building, 565 Chicora Road, Butler, PA 16001.  If you wish to speak to the Board, sign up on the Public Comment Sheet when you enter the building.

EARNED INCOME CHANGES

EFFECTIVE JANUARY 1, 2012!

Act 32 was established by the legisllators to "revamp" the system of collecting Earned Income Tax (EIT) across Pennsylvania.  It will reduce from 560 state-wide tax collectors to 69 tax collection districts (TCD).  All employers (large and small) will be required to withhold EIT from all employees and remit the EIT collected withing 30 days after the end of each quarter to the TCD's appointed officer.  For more info, make sure you check out the Earned Income Tab above.
